We had another very busy month in Andrew’s 5th class. By now everyone is very familiar with Microsoft Teams and the majority of our work and activities is documented on their. Along with preparation for the Winter Wonderland concert we covered lots across al subject areas.

Maths: This month we covered decimals, number theory, multiplication and plenty of revision. I was really pleased with the Christmas tests and want to compliment the children on the excellent effort they made during the first term, keep it up!

English: This month we focused on narrative writing and persuasive writing. The class really enjoyed the persuasive writing and we had some very entertaining ‘walking debates’ in class.

Gaeilge: We continued with Bua na Cainte and Léigh sa Bhaile this month, especially the topic of Bia and An Nollaig.

Art: As always, I was blown away by some of the artwork the children created this month. Have a look at the winter themed creations below,

Winter Wonderland: We had great fun preparing for Winter Wonderland concert, despite all the changes to our usual performances. The link to the video has been posted on Microsoft Teams.

The children have been absolutely amazing this term, despite everything that as been going on and all the challenges and changes we have faced. Enjoy the well earned break at home with your families and I’m looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year!
