Last week, we held ‘Happiness Week’ in our school. During the week we focused on our different feelings, how to manage them and looked at different things we can do that make ourselves and each other happy. Each class made a ‘Mind Jar’ for their classroom and some of the older classes used the ‘Worry Box’ too. 3rd and 4th class even learned a little bit about the brain and how it responds to stress. Sandra visited the school to do some mindful meditation activities and we did some mindfulness colouring in our classes. Every child drew or wrote something for the ‘Gratitude Wall’ which is in the foyer. We also had lots of DREAM (DRop Everything And Move) time to get us up and moving! We studied the characters in the movie ‘Inside Out’ and looked at what each one represented before watching it on Friday. Take a look at some of our photos!
