Well done to all the children in Junior Infants for completing what was a very strange and busy year. The children were fantastic and have become so independent, resilient and responsible. They should be so proud of themselves and you should be so proud of them too. I absolutely loved being their teacher teacher this year!

Here is some of what we got up to. We were learning about robots and got to use our coding robots called bee bots. The children had to give the robots directions to move. We then expanded this by putting on the special coat for the bee bots which can hold a pen, so the children then coded the bee-bots to draw a picture.

We have also been working very hard on our tricky words, making them from pegs and playdough.

We had so much fun at our ‘school tour’ /sport’s day!!

We have been doing lots of outside learning including litter picks, searching for mini beasts, measuring puddles ,writing and exploring the base of a tree.

We had lots of fun learning about the farm in Aistear, especially in the Water, soil and sand area outside ,where we pretended to plant flowers and wash farm animals.

Have a fantastic Summer. I loved being your child’s teacher this year, good luck to everyone as they begin Senior Infants!
