Tús maith leath na hoibre!

A strong start is half the work as the saying goes. What a busy term we had in 3rd class 2020! The children achieved many great things, pen licences being one of the highlights of the term! The standard of handwriting in the class is fantastic and it is wonderful to see the children enjoying their penmanship and taking pride and care in how they present their work. In Maths, we have been busy working on subtraction, fractions, lines and angles to name a few topics. We have begun our class novel which is Charlotte’s Web and we are really enjoying getting to know the characters and the story lines. Our imaginations have been running wild in creative writing and we have composed some fantastic pieces of literature so far! We have also learned almost fifteen poems and songs as Gaeilge, maith sibh a pháistí! Judging by the progress we have made so far, it’s going to be a great year! We have now begun term two and are delighted to begin our journey into multiplication in maths, a very exciting topic that we have been looking forward to since September!
