Kildare Town ETNS are delighted to be coordinating an exciting project funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme. We are collaborating with four different schools from Turkey, Germany and Spain. This project is based around the idea that mindful practices can support sustainability and environmental awareness.

As an Erasmus+ accredited school, Kildare Town ETNS actively participates in European partnerships and mobility projects. Participating schools share good practices and learn from educational approaches in other countries. Our goal of working with Leargas on Erasmus+ opportunities is to enhance the learning experiences and develop global perspectives within the school. As part of this, teachers regularly travel across Europe during the school holidays to learn best practices and most up-to-date teaching methodologies from across the EU.
In addition to staff mobilities, we have been fortunate to be part of many Erasmus+ funded projects with partners from across Europe. These projects include the following:
Grow From Seeds: Developing multicultural education and inclusion through drama workshops
Moving Stars: Developing road safety skills through interactive digital games
The Mindful School: Mindfulness and meditation techniques for holistic development of children.
The Art of Creative Writing: Using the work of famous artists to enhance and develop creative writing skills
SALT (Speech And Language Tools): Development of a digital app to assess and support the development of language skills for children with speech and language difficulties.
