The Courtyard

School Meals

We put a tender out for School Meal providers under the new funding in Spring 2024.  The tender was won by The School Food Company from Limerick.

They installed a full professional kitchen here on site, and they cook meals here in the morning – the aromas waft around the building every morning!  They are delivered to the classroom for the children’s second break of the day in reusable lidded containers, which are washed daily.

Parents can order meals a month in advance on an app, and the options are very well balanced.  Dietary restrictions and food allergies are catered to, and parents have access to all information about nutritional value & allergens etc on the app.  The kitchen is kept spotlessly clean and the staff work hard daily to provide the best service to the children.

Nuture Room

We are proud to be a Nurture School. This means we are committed to supporting the social, emotional, and behavioural development of all our pupils by creating a safe, inclusive, and caring environment where every child can thrive.

As a Nurture School, we follow the six principles of nurture, which guide our practice in building strong relationships, promoting emotional wellbeing, and supporting positive behaviour throughout the school. We understand that children develop at their own pace and may sometimes need additional support to help them feel secure, build confidence, and succeed in their learning.

We are proud to have a purpose-built Nurture Room, specially designed to provide a calm, home-like setting for children who benefit from small group support. Our Nurture Room includes a fully equipped kitchen area, where children can take part in activities that promote independence, routine, and social skills in a warm, supportive environment.

At KTETNS we believe that wellbeing and learning go hand in hand — and we are dedicated to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported, and ready to reach their full potential.
